Absar Mohammed’s miniature Dachsund, Skye, was a picky eater who struggled with her weight. Happily, she fell in love with Nom Nom — and shed those unwanted pounds.
Absar Mohammed’s 6-year-old dog, Skye, brings her so much happiness. But the little bundle of joy is quite a picky eater, and as a miniature Dachsund, she’s prone to obesity. “It came to the point where she was having liver issues because of her weight. I wanted her to get healthier, and didn’t want her to have problems,” Absar says.
So Absar set out to find a better food for Skye. “I tried so many different brands. Many brands I thought were good but turned out to be not so great.” And even when she’d find something that seemed healthy and that Skye liked, the picky pup would quickly grow bored. “She loses interest with anything: food, toys, other dogs.”
A Better Option
Absar was determined to keep trying and find something that worked. After seeing an Instagram ad for Nom Nom, she decided to look into it. She was happy to see the positive reviews, so she placed an order and hoped that Skye would like the food.
Happily, Skye dug right in. “She instantly fell in love. I’ve never seen her so excited to eat her own food. Other people’s food, yes, but not her own,” laughs Absar.
Reaping the Benefits
A few months in, Skye has tried the turkey, beef, and chicken meals, and loves them all. And the benefits go beyond her enthusiasm, including weight loss, increased energy and playfulness, and better teeth hygiene and breath. > “Her weight has gone down. She’s lighter and her energy is different. She runs more, she’s active more, she’s awake more. She used to sleep a lot, but now she’s actually up more and more active, more vocal and wanting to play.
She’s also seen a big improvement in Skye’s dental hygiene. “Her teeth have gotten better. Her breath really stunk before and no matter what I would try before it wouldn’t work,” she says.
Nom Nom’s direct deliveries have been a huge plus for Absar, too. “Once I’m close to running out, I automatically get that next delivery. It’s very convenient, and I don’t have to order it myself or wait ‘til she’s done to get the new shipment. And I don’t even have to worry about someone being home for the delivery because it’s always fresh and cold.”
Absar is thrilled to have discovered Nom Nom. “I’m so happy with the results, and she loves the food. Her teeth look healthier, she’s more playful, her weight has gone down. All the main goals I was looking for have improved.”
