Fresh Dog Food Recipes

Just like with your own diet, a fresh diet for your dog means real ingredients that are fresh, rather than meals composed of artificial additives and fillers. A fresh diet for your dog needs to be refrigerated, just like the fresh food you eat.

The benefits are that a freshly cooked diet is prepared every week to order, and never frozen unless you choose to freeze it. Fresh food like this enables your dog to get the full benefit of healthy fats, nutrients, and antioxidants inside, contrary to many traditional dog foods that have been far altered from their fresh and original state to enable a longer shelf life and lower cost.

So I think most people understand what fresh is. If you think about your own diet, you can clearly tell the difference between a packaged product versus something that is really direct to the table. So fresh diets for dogs (although they have been historically less common) certainly have a variety of health benefits locking in those nutrients, you know, direct from the farm and immediately being fed to the dogs.

We see that many times fats are better preserved, we have higher amounts of antioxidants within the food, and most importantly, it is nutrition you can see. You can actually look at the diet itself and understand what it is and tell whether or not it is spoiled or fresh. That is the advantage that we see: really knowing what pets are being fed and being able to compare that to your own diet and what you know is good for you instinctively.
